« MECHANICAL EARTHING »
Decoupling of devices by propagating vibrations to the ground.
Evidence proposes the concept of « mechanical earthing » to decouple Epure or devices from HiFi installations and speakers. The team built upon the work done by Georges Bernard for Goldmund on the concept of « mechanical grounding. » To achieve this, we use a single cone to channel the vibrations produced by the devices and the music played on our installations. The stabilization of the entire setup is achieved through two inert pods.
The concept of a single point for vibration drainage is rooted in fluid mechanics, particularly using the Euler method: the unsteady flow velocity of a particle is due to its non-uniformity. The more uniform and rapid the drainage of this particle, the narrower the drainage point.
Taking into account the convective and temporal constraints of fluid evacuation applied to vibrations, we also introduced the problem of rotational flow. Our general principle is that, since we do not want to eliminate vibrations, we must regulate and accelerate their evacuation towards the most massive object at our disposal: the Earth (« mechanical earthing »).
To speed up the energy transfer to the Earth, we used materials tested for their hardness and neutrality.
